Indeed, every 700ml bottle is crafted using an astonishing 15 premium Kishu Nanko plums (weighing a massive 400 grams). Following maturation, the luscious plum flesh is meticulously pureed into a rich puree and blended back into the liqueur, culminating in an extraordinary, high-strength bottling at 25% ABV.

This revolutionary creation marks the dramatic rebirth of a historic brewery with a 400-year heritage. Passed down through father and son for over twenty generations, the estate underwent a bold transformation. Breaking centuries of tradition, the newly appointed president is a 30-year-old active film and commercial actress, Yuka Komama. A graduate of Keio University, she utilized her extensive media expertise to modernize the brand. Her leadership style is fiercely innovative: she discovered the vision of 25-year-old bartender Kento Kobayashi and instantly hired him as the head master brewer—an incredibly rare appointment in the ultra-conservative Japanese brewing industry.

Their debut masterpiece, "Hanayo," has captured critical acclaim, winning major accolades at both the National Umeshu Awards and the International Spirits Challenge (ISC). At a recent major spirits festival, it became a runaway sensation, selling over 200 bottles in just two days.

Because it contains a dense, rich plum nectar, it should be gently shaken before pouring. On the nose, it releases an intensely concentrated aroma of peak-ripe plums and sweet peaches. The texture is full-bodied and velvety, washing over the palate like molten stone fruits with bursts of mouthwatering acidity.
