Driven by this romantic vision, Yuto Watanabe—the 26th-generation heir to Fukushima’s renowned Okuwabara Azalea Park—decided to breathe new life into his family's 300-year-old botanical legacy. During his university years, he discovered that wild flowers harbor unique, indigenous "floral yeasts" capable of fermentation, with each blossom imparting a singular flavor profile. Following graduation, he spent two dedicated years mastering the technical craft to transform this natural gift into a premium spirit.
"Enju Sakura" utilizes a craft rice shochu base fermented with authentic wild cherry blossom (Sakura) yeast. This base is blended with luscious, sweet Japanese peach juice and crisp apple juice, then accented with a delicate touch of Sansho (Japanese pepper) to elevate its aromatic dimensions. Crafted with zero added sugar, it delivers a beautifully sweet, ready-to-drink gourmet cocktail.
The bouquet opens with indulgent ripe peach, backed by a refreshing hint of green apple. The body is light and airy, flooding the palate with pure peach sweetness before concluding with a subtle, sophisticated tartness unique to sakura yeast.
