“Alter Ego” is a collaboration between Yamato Distillery and Fukuoka sake brewery Librom. Yamato Distillery uses sake lees provided by Librom, blending in their signature Yamato tachibana orange, angelica, and four types of mint (glycyrrhiza mint, Japanese mint, California mint, and peppermint) to create a gin with a complex, multifaceted character.

Though one might expect prominent sake notes from this collaboration, mint is the real star here. If you love the freshness of mint—think mint candies or mint chocolate—this gin is made for you!

On the nose, the citrusy aroma of Yamato tachibana is balanced by a gentle minty freshness, offering elegance and harmony. The palate delivers an intense burst of mint, with a hint of toffee-like sweetness. Subtle Yamato tachibana notes linger with the cool mint all the way through an exceptionally long finish—crisp and powerfully minty.
