Using a luxurious sake base brewed from 35% polished Yamadanishiki Junmai Daiginjo, this masterpiece is infused with premium, massive 4L-sized ripe Nanko plums and rock sugar. As the most ultra-premium plum liqueur from Saga Prefecture's historic Matsuuraichi Shuzo, its extravagant ingredient profile directly rivals the legendary "Daishichi Kimoto Umeshu Gokujouhin."

Supported by pure rock sugar, the aroma of ripe plums presents a delicate blend of crisp freshness and elegant floral notes. On the palate, the texture is exceptionally silky and refined. It opens with a vibrant, high-toned plum acidity, which is beautifully embraced by a gentle sweetness mid-palate as the plum fragrance expands throughout the mouth. Combining flawless sweet-and-sour balance with the translucent clarity unique to Daiginjo bases, it is an incredibly smooth and comforting sipper—fully justifying its Gold Medal at the 2024 Kura Master competition in France.

The label design is inspired by the gorgeous gold-leaf folding screens prevalent in Japan's historic Momoyama culture, intricately depicting plum blossoms in an expansive orchard. Matsuuraichi Shuzo boasts over 300 years of brewing history, but it is most famously known for sheltering an actual "Kappa" (mythical water sprite) mummy! For centuries, a family secret was passed down: "A rare treasure is hidden in the house." Fifty years ago, during roof renovations, carpenters uncovered a wooden box labeled "Kahaku" tied to a beam. Inside was a bizarre, mummified creature, which is now enshrined inside the brewery for curious visitors to see.
