Are you drawn to Japanese precision 🇯🇵 or French elegance 🇫🇷? On one side sits Suntory’s homegrown masterpiece, "Kyoho Murasaki," crafted from noble black grapes. On the other is "MISTIA," created by Suntory’s French subsidiary, the historic Cognac house Louis Royer. While both are grape-based liqueurs, they vividly contrast the aesthetic philosophies of Japan and France in both presentation and flavor.
MISTIA is crafted using a mistelle (fortified grape must) made from premium Muscat Petit Grain, which is then masterfully blended with fine French brandy. From its sleek bottle silhouette to the sophisticated frosted glass design, the packaging exudes a distinct sense of French haute couture.
As a sweet liqueur, MISTIA shines brightest when effervescent or mixed into cocktails. The distillery’s signature serve combines 1 part Mistia with 2 parts soda water: the nose opens with a refreshing burst of green grape, unfolding into the signature floral perfume of Muscat and a whisper of fresh mint. On the palate, a luscious surge of honeyed grape transitions gracefully into an elegant orange blossom finish. Alternatively, mixing 1 part Mistia with 3 parts Champagne beautifully amplifies the wine's aromatics, layering the fine bubbles with an exquisite floral complexity.
