Daishinshu Brewery, based in Nagano Prefecture, is renowned for its apples, which rival those from Aomori in quality. The brewery takes fragrant, sweet Nagano Fuji apples, processes them into a fine puree, and blends them into their Nanko ume-based umeshu with a “Hanachū” ginjo sake base. The combination of Nagano Fuji apples, 130 years of sake brewing mastery, and top-grade Nanko plums is far more than just 1+1+1=3—the creativity and craftsmanship behind it are truly impressive.
Give the bottle a shake before pouring, and you’ll notice the cloudy liquid brimming with apple pulp—simply mesmerizing from the aroma alone. The fruit pulp gives the drink a thicker body, and the taste is filled with luscious apple sweetness and fragrant umeshu. It goes down extremely smoothly, and the lingering bits of fruit let you savor the last bursts of flavor.
