"Nikka 12-Year-Old" has always been one of the most popular products before festivals for a reason: its luxurious and grand packaging, reasonable price, vintage marking, and superior quality all make it an excellent choice for gifting and personal use.

However, due to the severe shortage of Japanese whisky's original spirits, even this last remaining, affordably priced, and vintage product was also discontinued starting in March 2019, to be replaced by the non-vintage "Nikka Tailored".

The name "Nikka Tailored" is derived from "Tailor-designed to perfection." The original spirit composition of this product is distinctly different from that of "Nikka 12 Years" and is not merely a younger version of "Nikka 12 Years." In terms of aroma, the grape fragrance is the mainstay, and scents similar to that of raisins and wafers can also be detected. On the palate, it is surprisingly smooth, with the alcohol sensation very well suppressed, featuring a bittersweet taste interspersed with a hint of smokiness, and the aftertaste carries the flavors of taffy and oak barrels, with a medium length.

"Nikka 12 Years" is rich in layers and robust in character, with the explosive power and refinement of alcohol that will make connoisseurs love it. "Nikka Tailored," on the other hand, is smoother in terms of aroma, taste, and the suppression of alcohol sensation, making it an easy-drinking masterpiece that unconsciously tempts you to pour another glass.
