Nikka Coffey Grain, a grain whiskey distilled using a Coffey Still, with corn as its main ingredient. The author has never been a fan of grain whiskey, but Nikka Coffey Grain completely changed my view. This whiskey can only be described as "interesting." It is completely different from any whiskey I have tasted before. Its aroma is full of rich butterscotch and vanilla sweetness. It tastes very sweet on the palate, with butterscotch and honey flavors, yet without a cloying sensation. The finish is moderately long, with an oak-dominated profile, typical of Bourbon whiskey style. Addictive!
