To share this elusive flavor with the world, the renowned Beniotome Shuzo has expertly preserved the fruit’s essence using their own craft shochu. This CROP & CROP expression captures the Kizu’s gentle acidity and refreshing aroma while precisely eliminating any bitterness typically found in citrus peels.
The bouquet is a vibrant mix of fresh citrus and the subtle sweetness of yuzu. On the palate, the signature mellow acidity of the Kizu fruit spreads across the tongue without any harshness, leaving a crisp and refreshing sensation. The experience concludes with a delicate yuzu sweetness and a clean finish from the 15% ABV.
The brewery itself carries a legendary legacy. Founded in 1978 by Mrs. Haruno Hayashida at the age of 65, Beniotome Shuzo is world-famous for its unique "Sesame Shochu."
