Pour it out and you’ll see plenty of juicy mikan pulp—very tempting. Take a sniff and you’ll be hit by a wave of mint, reminiscent of those classic Andes green mint chocolate bars—a nostalgic, cooling sensation from childhood. On the palate, the texture is full of fruit pulp, as if freshly squeezed mikan was just added. The sweetness is moderate: first comes the mellow mikan flavor and slight tang, then the mint gradually emerges. The minty finish is cool and long-lasting. According to the brewery, you can enjoy it with beer, soda, or even milk. We highly recommend mixing it with beer: one part liqueur to two parts beer. The mint comes forward, the mikan sweetness balances the beer’s bitterness, and the beer, in turn, softens the liqueur’s sweetness. The drink is crisp, lightly chewy with fruit, and endlessly drinkable.
